Kim Hill "Right Now" record release party
July 22, 2005 @ Little Temple - Los Angeles, CA

With such a highly anticipated record release party for Kim Hill’s single “Right Now”, Concrete Grooves came through with a heater. The crowd was treated with a surprise performance by the soul/jazz legend N’ Dea Davenport in support of the Concrete movement. The main room was backed by LA’s sonic vinyl pushers: Garth Trinidad (Chocolate City KCRW), DJ Haul (Afrodisiac Sound System), Presto (Concrete Grooves), DJ Dusk (Root Down) and Al Jackson (Juju/Soul Children). The lounge was blessed with crate digging Dj/Producers DJ Rylo (Sebadukes), Noel Zancanella (Sonom); and the boom-bip tripnotic DJ Argyle (Beat Hackerz), Frank-E (Beat Hackerz) and DJ Concise (Beat Hackerz).

The crowd carried the party through, with their humming knowledge and appreciation of soul/jazz/urban sounds.

Between featured artist Kim Hill, a DJ line up for the underground ages, and the vibe of the people; the event was a night of regal musical grandeur.

Always a big shout out to Mixwell, URB Magazine, Top 2 Bottom, Kajmere Sound, Fusicology, and the Kutting Room for your continuous support.
